Getting on with it..to my friends that need this right now!

It's hard for me to believe that people go through this "heart break"thing often. I have never known what the process entailed or how bad it really hurt. I am not just speaking about emotional pain but physically too. Is there a book to help the grieving process?or a short cut? I keep wishing for a time machine to just blast me straight into the future.

Healing takes time and effort but in the end I remember that as each day passes and I am stronger than the day before.

Here are a few important things I have collected to getting over heart break.. (in no particular order)

1. Do not have any contact with the ex at all! This is hard but it is a must. No excuses!
2. Family and good friends that don't take "I am fine" as an answer.
3. Having four legged companions to take care of you.
4. Doing something you enjoy and look forward to everyday.
5. Realizing that you just have to move on and just be done with it. (this was the hardest for me)
6. Getting dressed up and going out...attention never hurt anyone with a broken heart.
7. Anger is a good feeling as long as you are not plotting revenge sex.
8. Do not stay awake and go over it in your head. YOU MUST SLEEP!
9. Beer and hard alcohol is good....( friends may need to take your phone away...let them)
10. Delete all email correspondence and block social networks. so even in weakness you can't look!
11. Get exercise.
12. Make new memories
13. Make a reason why you shouldn't be together list....you would be surprised at red flags you now notice.
14. Remember that time is going to go by slow u and just deal with it.

Note: At times you may feel well but be aware that the loss can come back like a ton of bricks and just land in your lap at ANY TIME!
