Yes Yes we did it we painted stripes in the Nursery!
We first painted the room a really pretty lavender color and I saw this picture in the kids pottery barn magazine that had light pink with hot pink stripes.
"We can totally do that....It will be so cute!"
(I take full responsibility for this statement)
*Disclaimer NEVER PAINT STRIPES unless you have unlimited patience, time and money.
We did pretty well considering we had to measure and use a chalk line. The walls where textured so the blue tape that we used leaked dark paint into the lavender areas of the wall. We then learned that the green frog tape is the tape to use on this type of project. We finished every-line by had where it had crossed over into the lavender and then sometimes the hand slipped and we had to go the opposite way.
It was a great experience and Avery Denise is very lucky that she is the first child in our family because the rest are getting wall decals!
( More pictures to follow of our work on the nursery)
